T. Mariotti, part of the Genova Industrie Navali Group, and the Department of Architecture and Design of the University of Genoa "DAD" have signed a two-year framework agreement that will see them collaborate to promote innovation and research in the field of naval design.
Through the partnership, T. Mariotti and the University of Genoa aim to encourage the development of research and activities in key areas of ship design and construction such as layout, distribution, furnishing, decoration and environmental sustainability for which both will provide their experience, working spaces and expertise that will contribute to the creation of shared projects.
The common objective is to strengthen and value sectoral skills and work collaboratively to boost productivity and innovation in the sector.
To mark the start of the collaboration, a meeting was held in La Spezia between T. Mariotti and the students of the course in Naval and Nautical Design during which the first steps were taken in planning the activities that will be carried out in the coming months.
T. Mariotti took the opportunity to share the basis for the project of a ship that the students will develop according to the instructions of their professors, in accordance with the academic program.

Mariotti and the University of Genoa has been active for several years and, over time, has been strengthened through our progressive involvement in important moments within the academic year and in opportunities for internships offered to students", said Umberto Bisagno, Manager of T. Mariotti, also in charge of Human Resources and Training. "Through this partnership we intend to promote talents and new ideas, offering students the opportunity to put concrete projects into practice, in the belief that this mutual exchange of skills creates value for the entire sector".

Mariotti allows us to offer practical and professional experiences for the next two years and to allow students to confront the professional problems that they will be called upon to solve once they graduate",commented Massimo Musio-Sale, Professor of Industrial Design at the Department of Architecture and Design of the University of Genoa.
