Gerolamo Scorza has been involved in the Dry Dock of NCL GEM, which took place from November 13th thru December 2nd, 2022 in Marseilles.
The intervention appointed to our company concerned the restoration and the modernization of the “Bali Hai” Bar, located at deck 13. Food area was removed, and the grill has been replaced with a new wall equipped with shelves enlightened by led strips. Internal and external technical floors have been replaced, as well as wall coverings.
The most remarkable transformation concerned the bar counter, which has been completely dismantled and renewed through a more linear, uniform shape and a modern touch. In addition, a new top in white quartzite was installed.
Internal ceiling has been replaced by a USPHS-standard one and the external one was restored through PVC staves with a light-grey finishing.
Lightning has been modified with the installation of modern dimmable LED lights and strip led to enlighten the new counter.
Fixed furniture, as well, has been replaced and the external floor has been restored with a teak effect synthetic resin.
The architectural project has been carried out by SMC Design of London, whilst the lightning engineering has been developed by We Are Light Studio in Hamburg. Scorza was responsible for the whole realization.
